KENYA FAMILY HOLIDAY
Family Safari in Kenya - Family Holiday Safari - Family Safari - Kenya Family Tour- Holiday in Kenya - Kenya Safari
Kenya is a safari for
the family with school
age children and above
who love nature and
wildlife.
For families with
children slightly older
who have an abundance of
energy and excitement to
expend we recommend
Kenya whole heartedly.
Thought of as the
traditional safari
location Kenya’s well
established
infrastructure lends
itself well to families
traveling, and the camps
we select purposefully
make a family safari
unforgettable for the
right reasons.
After an overnight
flight into Nairobi your
family will be met and
transferred to the local
airport where you’ll
board a scheduled light
aircraft into the
Amboseli National Park
for a three night stay
at Tortilis Camp.
Amboseli is located at
the foot of the towering
Mount Kilimanjaro –
Africa’s highest and the
tallest free standing
mountain in the world.
At just under 150 square
miles, the park lies at
the heart of a much
larger eco-system which
straddles the border
with Tanzania.
Tortilis camp is perfect
for a family safari with
families with slightly
older children which are
active and interested in
learning about nature up
close. Activities during
a stay at Tortilis
include insightful game
drives, bush walks and
meals, sundowners,
cultural visits,
massages and a swimming
pool.
Amboseli is famous for
its large elephant
population and this
particular region seems
to support extra-
ordinarily large
“tuskers” with huge
spears of ivory almost
scarping the ground as
they walk. Predator
sightings are common
with lion, leopard,
cheetah, hyena and
jackal all see
regularly. Buffalo laze
the days away in the
deep swamps with
wildebeest, zebra,
antelope and giraffe
found on the plains.
After a fantastic few
days of superb game
viewing and really
getting acquainted with
Africa you’ll game drive
to the airstrip and
board a scheduled flight
to Loisaba in Kenya’s
Laikipia
region.
Loisaba is located in a
vast rugged area in the
northern Laikipia region
where rolling hills and
savannah seem to stretch
to infinity... and
beyond! The wildlife
which roams through this
breathtaking scenery is
abundant with elephant,
buffalo, lion, leopard,
giraffe and antelope a
plenty.
Loisaba has a wide range
of activities available
for teenagers, day and
night game drives, quad
biking, horse riding,
walking with your guide,
rafting and even camel
trekking. There are just
as many opportunities to
relax also as each room
has its own private
viewing deck, which
looks out toward Mount
Kenya. Facilities at the
lodge include a swimming
pool, tennis court and
spa.
The emphasis at Loisaba
is on a the wide range
of activities available
to guests with day and
night game drives on the
reserve providing
fabulous opportunities
to see the wildlife up
close. For those with a
more adventurous spirit
there is quad biking,
horse riding, walking
with a guide, rafting
and camel trekking. For
a very special night out
under the stars are the
infamous elevated
platforms aptly named
the ‘star beds’. The
family can share a
platform
A unique experience at
Loisaba is a night at
the “Star-Beds” which
are incredible
tree-houses built far
out in the wilderness
where guests can
experience complete
isolation for a night
under the stars. The
“Star-Beds” are well
equipped with proper
beds, en-suite bathroom
and a few comforts but
the idea is to
completely absorb
yourself in Africa for
the night.
After a few nights in
Laikipia you’ll whizz of
by light aircraft once
again to the Masai Mara.
Where we propose you
spend a few game packed
days at Kicheche a
classic tented camp
located on the Aitong
Plains in the northern
Masai Mara. The camp
takes great pride in its
friendly and relaxed
atmosphere where guests
become friends.
The majority of tents
are in secluded
positions overlooking
the plains and nearby
hills whilst others are
closer together for
families and friends.
The spacious Nyati tent
acts as the camp lounge
with comfortable
seating, a library,
board games, cards and
local crafts.
The camp cooks produce
delicious and healthy
meals each day and the
menu features both
African and
international dishes so
there are something for
all the families’
tastes. Fresh produce is
flown in regularly with
bread and pastries baked
daily in camp.
For game viewing you
will be spoilt for
choice the Mara and
watching wildlife at
close range but without
encroaching on their
space is endlessly
fascinating and the
guides' instincts and
knowledge provide superb
family wildlife
experience. Whilst in
the Masai Mara the
family can enjoy a
variety of activities in
additional to game
drives such as walking
safaris with a highly
qualified guides and
armed rangers, and
cultural visits to a
local Maasai village.
Experience Africa
together and may

share forever.
